COLUMBUS, Ohio – Central Ohio’s top orthopedic practices have come together to form the first co-branded physical therapy clinic in the region.

Operating under the banner of OrthoAlliance (OA) – an Ohio-based management services organization – five area practices with more than 50 orthopedic and musculoskeletal specialists will jointly offer physical therapy services at OrthoAlliance Physical Therapy, 2100 Marble Cliff Office Park in Columbus.

The five participating OA practices are:

“Our partner practices have always and consistently provided world-class care to patients here in central Ohio and the surrounding communities we all serve,” said OrthoNeuro President Larry T. Todd, Jr., D.O. “It was only logical that we align our efforts to continue to provide specialty-specific orthopedic care that our patients have relied upon for decades.

“It is through this collaboration of over 180 orthopedic and musculoskeletal specialists within OrthoAlliance that we will continue to provide excellent care and therapy services that our patients deserve,” Dr. Todd said.

“The new physical therapy clinic will enhance convenience and choices for patients,” said Terrence Philbin, D.O., of Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Center.

“Our practice sees patients from all over central Ohio and even other states,” Dr. Philbin said. “We would love for everyone to come to our office for physical therapy, but that’s just not possible. The value of the physical therapists at the clinic is that they know all of our protocols. And the more the patient and the physical therapist develop a relationship, the more it benefits the patient.”

All five practices are now members of OrthoAlliance (OA), which was formed in partnership with leading Midwest physician practices and Revelstoke Capital Partners, a Denver-based private equity firm. The company is building one of the country’s leading orthopedic management organizations. It provides operations, marketing, and patient experience expertise and resources to partner practices providing life-changing advances in orthopedics and sports medicine.

Since 2019, OA has grown quickly to 180+ physicians and more than 2,000 employees. Its partners now include 12 practices across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

“This collaboration is an important step in our Central Ohio growth plan for OrthoAlliance,” said Matt Crill, OrthoAlliance Regional Vice President for Central Ohio “The new location will provide a key patient access point to this integrated orthopedic network. The physical therapy clinic will serve patients from our five Central Ohio OrthoAlliance anchor practices and anyone in the community who needs outpatient physical therapy that is comprehensive, efficient, and patient-centric.”

OA Physical Therapy opened on July 7th with an initial staff of six in the 2,700-square-foot clinic. A continuum of musculoskeletal care will be provided, including sports medicine injuries, total joint replacement rehabilitation, knee, hip, hand, elbow, foot and ankle, shoulder, and spine care.

In addition, the clinic’s physical therapists specialize in non-operative musculoskeletal care, as well as postoperative rehabilitation.

“Our physicians provide care for patients in every community in Central Ohio,” Crill said. “Physical therapy is an important therapeutic intervention to recover from injury or after surgery. Having a centrally located physical therapy clinic close to where our patients work and live is important to ensure our patients get the best care in a convenient location.”
