Orthopedic Specialists & Sports Medicine will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, April 11, at 4:30 p.m., for their new Granville office, located at 2750 Newark Granville Road in Granville.
Orthopedic Specialists & Sports Medicine doctors Edward L. Westerheide, M.D., Brad L. Bernacki, M.D., and Alex Tancevski, M.D., as well as Mayor Melissa Hartfield will be at the ceremony. The new office is set to open in summer 2020. Patients in need of specialized orthopedic care are encouraged to request an appointment by calling (740) 788-9220.
“We are proud to bring our compassionate, expert care to the residents of Granville and the surrounding areas and look forward to joining the wonderful community of Granville,” says Dr. Edward Westerheide, orthopedic surgeon at Orthopedic Specialists & Sports Medicine.
The new Granville office will provide residents access to a large orthopedic facility that offers advanced orthopedic care, provided by expertly trained doctors. This large facility will feature 16 patient exam rooms; MRI, X-ray and DEXA bone densitometry services; and expanded physical therapy services, including massage therapy and a large space dedicated to rehabilitation.
It will also offer bone health services and monthly seminars as well as spacious waiting rooms, a convenient parking lot and a walking and bike trail up to the building.
“We are excited to be included in this dynamic project,” says Denny Freudeman, president and CEO of Hplex Solutions, the company developing the new building. “The design selected by the physicians is based on a noninstitutional open and airy environment that focuses on a unique experience for both patients and employees.
This facility lends a new approach to the delivery of orthopedic services. This project will become a very positive community asset for the Village of Granville as well as the entire Newark and Licking County communities.”
In addition to their expanded orthopedic and physical therapy services, Orthopedic Specialists & Sports Medicine will be offering their Orthopedic Urgent Care at their new Granville office. Patients with urgent bone, joint and muscle needs will be able to receive immediate orthopedic care without an appointment or referral. Walk-ins will be welcome.
